About Danny Malin – Danny Vs Food
Danny Malin, YouTuber, host and presenter of Danny Vs Food.
From Leeds Market to millions of food fans worldwide – now then, guys, Danny’s back on the road again!
Danny Malin is a Yorkshire-born YouTuber, presenter, event host and the face behind Danny Vs Food. Known for his straight-talking food reviews, infectious personality and unmistakable Yorkshire charm, Danny has built a huge following by doing what he loves most: getting out on the road, trying great food and making people smile.
Danny’s journey started selling meat at Leeds Market, long before his funny, down-to-earth videos took social media by storm. He went on to become the face of Rate My Takeaway, entertaining millions of viewers around the world with his honest opinions, iconic catchphrases and no-nonsense approach to reviewing food.
After moving on from the channel, Danny launched Danny Vs Food, taking his signature style to takeaways, cafés, restaurants and hidden food gems. With his trusty table and chair set up outside venues, Danny gives his honest verdict on everything from local favourites to food worth travelling for.
His success was recognised when he won YouTube’s UK Breakthrough Creator of the Year Award in 2021. Since then, Danny has continued to expand his career across online video, television, live events and music, including two Christmas song releases with Toddla T.
But behind the viral videos and Yorkshire catchphrases – from “Now then guys, back on the road again…” to the infamous “knackercracker” and his familiar “See you soon, guys” sign-off – Danny is a family man with a big heart.
Living in West Yorkshire, Danny loves spending time with his family, exploring the region he calls home, discovering brilliant places to eat and supporting the communities that have supported him along the way.
Danny is also an ambassador for mental health charities and is passionate about giving back, supporting community organisations and helping up-and-coming talent from the North get the recognition they deserve.

Danny Vs Food is all about real food, real opinions and real Yorkshire personality. Whether Danny is discovering a hidden gem, tackling a legendary takeaway or sharing a laugh with the people he meets, his mission remains the same: to celebrate great food, champion local businesses and bring a bit of happiness to people’s day.
And now, you can bring a little bit of Danny Vs Food into your own wardrobe with official merchandise inspired by Danny’s videos, humour and unmistakable Yorkshire spirit.
